 PromoNet has as its mission "matching people with products". It was with this in mind that Vanessa founded the company in 1995. Further her desire is to create a unique presence for you and your organization. She is prepared to gauge the rapidly changing business environment, to distance you and distinguish you from the competition. After graduating from The University of Missouri St. Louis, with a Bachelors degree in Communication, she spent a year working with Double Helix, as an audio visual specialist, recording political court cases. After this she landed a job in Corporate America where she found her niche. Vanessa has a vast background in product presentation, and positioning derived from years of experience at Miles Laboratories, Consumer Products Division as a Territory Sales Supervisor for over five years. Her responsibilities included presenting consumer products to headquarters buyers, to sell and promote in their retail stores. Later she went to work for M&M Mars as a Key Account Representative. In addition to presenting products at the headquarters level, in-store product displays for major ads became a responsibility she enjoyed and excelled at. Despite her success, leaving Corporate America was necessary to grow as an individual and creatively. Vanessa realized that in order to grow she would have to utilize the knowledge and skills she gained from working for a large company. It became imperative that she move on to grow and change. She believes that without change something inside you sleeps, and yes the sleeper must awaken! This was the birth of V-V Designs, Incorporated, Vanessa’s first business. Her business that has grown tremendously and is highly recognized in today’s fraternity and sorority jewelry accessories market. The company is now known as Worldwide Origins by V-V Designs. Over the years Vanessa has come to realize based on numerous customer encounters that there is a need for custom products and advertising specialty expertise. PromoNet products grew from that need. The company has been commissioned to create specialized products for groups, organizations and individuals that she has encountered at conferences and various events. PromoNet is now recognized as a source for research and development for new and existing products produced here or overseas. Vanessa Lacewell, President |
